Time for some quick snack for tiffin. Most of us make different types of toast and it never gets old. You need a quick healthy snack for kids. For tiffin or for afternoon or midmorning or any-time-hungry-time snack. You need something quick to make and quick to finish.

Utensil/ Appliance

Oven preheated at 200°C

Ingredients

No rules. You can do your own combinations, depending on what you have at home that minute.

  • Bread slice: brown bread 4 slices cut in half, sides removed
  • Capsicum: 1/2 of a medium diced very finely
  • Yellow Bell pepper: 1/2 of a medium finely diced
  • Chedder cheese: 1/2 cup grated
  • Sesame seeds: 1 tbsp toasted in a frying pan till light brown
  • Basil: 1/2 tsp optional

Method

Place the slices on the grill put a tablespoon of cheese on each slice. Mix the peppers and keep aside. Sprinkle a teaspoon of the peppers, sprinkle some sesame seeds and basil and you are good to go for the oven. Put it in the pre-heated oven for 5 minutes. But do watch it because it will toast very quickly. You just need the cheese to melt, the bread to turn crispy and the vegetables to just get the heat. Ready to serve or pack for tiffin.
